AEGIS(AI-Enabled Emergency & Geospatial Intelligence System)
About the project
AEGIS combines Artificial Intelligence, real-time communication, geospatial intelligence, emergency coordination, healthcare resource management, and blood-resource networking within a unified system. Rather than functioning merely as an information or advisory platform, AEGIS is designed around an action-oriented emergency workflow. It can interpret emergency requests, organize incident information, assist with prioritization, identify relevant resources, coordinate communication between authorized stakeholders, and maintain a real-time overview of the emergency situation.
A key component of AEGIS is its AI intelligence layer, powered by modern AI technologies such as Gemma. The system is designed to understand natural-language emergency information, including Nepali and English inputs, convert unstructured requests into structured information, assist with emergency triage and resource coordination, generate situation summaries, and support decision-making. AI is therefore incorporated as a functional part of the system rather than being used simply as a conversational chatbot.
