MEV lets anyone check a medicine against Nigeria’s NAFDAC registry by photo, typed name, or voice note, because fake and substandard medicines are a real risk and the official registry is slow to search by hand. Gemma 4 reads the pack and pulls out the product name, NAFDAC number, strength and manufacturer, then calls a registry lookup. Plain code compares the label with the official record, so the verdict is never invented by the model, and the app explains the result in English or Pidgin. It checks registration and flags inconsistencies, but it can’t prove a pack is genuine, and it says so instead of calling anything “fake” or “genuine”.
