Apartment hunting in NYC means refreshing six sites, decoding fees, and finding out about the mould at the viewing. Fred does the hunting for you and talks to you like a cousin who knows the city.
- Runs your search in chat: budget, beds, areas, pets and dealbreakers, and remembers what you like across chats.
- Watches every site: RentHop, Zumper, Compass, Nooklyn and landlords’ own sites. The same apartment on several sites becomes one listing.
- Checks the building with the city: NYC Open Data violations, heat/pest/leak complaints, 311 complaints, evictions and the owner.
- Reads the photos (Gemini): in-unit laundry, visible damage, whether the photos match the listed beds and baths, and stock photos.
- Researches the live web (Nimble): reads the full listing page and searches tenant reviews and the landlord’s history.
- Shows the real cost: fees from the listing text, the total monthly cost, and scam signals.

It also uses Nimble to search the live web for tenant reviews and the landlord's history. Experimenting with using nimble agents to contact landlords via filling out forms on your behalf.
