About
Spend a day building at the inaugural AI Engineer NYC Hackathon!
Join AI Engineer and Major League Hacking (MLH) on Sunday, October 11, for a full day of building, experimenting, and meeting fellow AI engineers.
Explore new developer tools, get hands-on support from our team of mentors, and perhaps build that side project you’ve been thinking about.
You can come with or without a project idea, and with or without a team. We’ll have a team formation activity and plenty of mentors to help you brainstorm if you aren’t sure what you want to build.
What to expect
-
Time to build, experiment, and iterate on your project
-
Opportunities to meet other AI engineers and share ideas
-
Project demos and prizes
-
Mentors to help you debug, brainstorm, and work through technical challenges
-
Free food and drinks, including an evening happy hour

Best Use of Tiger Data
Stream Deck Mini
Building high-performance apps under hackathon deadlines shouldn't mean spending half your weekend configuring complex databases or learning obscure query languages. Tiger Data extends PostgreSQL to give student developers an ultra-fast foundation for real-time data, time-series metrics, and complex analytics.
Why build with Tiger Data this weekend?Standard SQL Power: Query massive datasets instantly using the SQL you already know, with no complex NoSQL aggregation pipelines required.
Unified Data Stack: Store relational user profiles and high-frequency metric streams side-by-side in a single database.
Instant Dashboards: Serve lag-free, real-time frontend charts using pre-computed Continuous Aggregates.
90%+ Data Compression: Store millions of events on free-tier cloud instances without running out of disk space.
Whether you’re building real-time IoT monitoring, AI-driven analytics dashboards, or financial prediction engines, show us how Tiger Data powers your project. The team that demonstrates the most innovative, impactful, and performance-driven use of Tiger Data will take home some great prizes!

Best Use of Nimble
Great ideas need great data. Whether you’re building an AI research assistant or helping students find the best deals, Nimble connects your project to the most accurate web context through APIs for search, crawling, and structured data extraction.
Why build with Nimble this weekend?
- Search the Live Web: Give your app/agent access to current information to power useful answers and discoveries.
- Turn Websites into Data: Extract structured data from public websites for your app to analyze, compare, and display.
- Give Your AI More Context: Bring relevant web content into chatbots and AI agents to help them answer questions with up-to-date information.
Build a scholarship finder, a price comparison tool, or a research assistant that explores a topic across multiple sources—the possibilities are yours to explore. The teams that demonstrate the most creative and impactful use of Nimble to turn live web context into something useful will take home the prizes!

Sentry Raffle
Shipping an AI app in a weekend means things can break, and when an agent is involved it’s not always obvious why. Sentry shows you exactly what went wrong (errors, slow requests, and what your agent actually did) so you can fix it before demo time instead of during it.
Ways to bring Sentry into your build this weekend
- Sentry MCP Server: Connect Sentry to your coding agent and let it pull issues, stack traces, and root-cause context straight into your editor.
- AI Agent Monitoring: Trace your agent’s LLM calls, tool calls, and token usage so you can see where it slows down or goes off the rails.
- Error Monitoring & Tracing: Drop in the SDK and catch crashes and performance bottlenecks across your frontend and backend.
- Seer: Let Sentry’s AI debugger find the root cause of an issue and suggest a fix.
Sign up for Sentry’s free 14-day trial (no credit card required) and check out the Sentry Cookbook for quick recipes to get started.
Anyone who uses Sentry will also be entered into a raffle for $50 Amazon Gitft Cards. Don’t forget to opt-in to the Sentry prize category when you submit!
