WildDex AI is a mobile-friendly wildlife identification application that works like a real-life Pokédex. Users can take a photo or upload an image of an animal and receive an AI-generated identification with likely species candidates, scientific names, distinguishing visual features, and a brief description.

To support learning and responsible wildlife discovery, WildDex communicates uncertainty when an identification is inconclusive and integrates with iNaturalist to enrich results with taxonomy and reference information. Users can also build their own personal wildlife collection, called My WildDex, to save and revisit their discoveries.

The goal is to make wildlife identification more accessible, interactive, and educational, encouraging users to explore and learn about the biodiversity around them.
