Liveboard turns speech into a canvas of objects (cards, notes, squares, rectangles and circles) that you can move, resize and edit. It is built for people who can speak but have limited motor ability, so they can create and change things without a keyboard or mouse. It also suits meetings, where a shared board fills in as people talk.
How it works
- Chrome’s speech recognition turns your voice into text. Interim text is sent as soon as it stops changing, so there is no wait for the sentence to finish.
- Cloudflare Clef-flash, an open-source decision model, works out what you want: add, update or delete, which object you mean, the object type, a colour, and whether text is added or replaced.
- Llama 3.1 8B on Workers AI writes the label and markdown body, only when there is text to write.
- Every change appears as a draft on the object with a check and a cross. Say “approved” or “reject”, or click the buttons.
Features
- Add several objects at once: “add three notes”, “add a card and a circle”
- Refer to objects by label, whatever their type: “add milk to shopping list”
- Unique labels, placement near existing objects with no overlap, and automatic zoom to fit
- Drag, resize, zoom, pan, undo, markdown bodies and double-click editing
- Keyboard control, screen-reader announcements and a high-contrast light and dark theme
- A “What you can say” panel with clickable examples
