KnowIdea
At a one-day hackathon, people arrive throughout the morning, and solo attendees often spend their first hours looking for a team. Hackathon Teamer forms teams with AI as people check in. Participants scan a QR code and fill out a 2-minute form on their phone covering their job, hobbies, skills, any project ideas they already have, and how open they are to joining someone else’s project. Right after they submit, an AI agent sends them project idea sparks based on the event’s theme and prize categories, which it scrapes from the hackathon page. Once enough people are waiting, the agent groups them into teams of 1–4, balancing complementary skills and shared interests, and gives each team a project proposal aimed at a specific prize. Everything appears on a live board that updates as new people arrive. Participants can accept or decline their proposed team, and organizers can adjust batching, form teams on demand, or dissolve teams from an admin panel.

Best Use of the Google Gemini API
The participant matching logic and project idea generation is done via the google gemini API. So the AI is used to take the participant profile context, hackathon theme context, and prize category context in order to generate project ideas and also find best matches for teams.
