• Frontend: React 19, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind CSS, MapLibre GL, OpenFreeMap vector basemaps (Dark & Positron styles, zero API key required).
• Backend: Python 3.12, FastAPI, NetworkX, OSMnx, GeoPandas, Shapely, Scikit-learn.
• Data Source: Chicago Open Data Portal (Socrata API) + OpenStreetMap (OSM) infrastructure.
• Routing Engine: Constrained Multi-Candidate shortest paths (Yen’s K-Shortest Paths) with composite safety score optimization.

Quickstart (Local Development)

Prerequisites

• Node.js >= 20
• Python >= 3.12 (managed via mise or system)

Run Both Services Concurrently

./run_dev.sh

Run with Docker Compose
