yeschef! is an iPhone app that plans a household’s dinners for the week and teaches a beginner to cook them. A small chef character, Basil, lives at the top of the screen. You talk to him by voice or text. He plans around your family’s tastes and allergies and walks you through each recipe one step at a time, with tips and timers. He also learns from what you cook and rate.
