Masla
Masla (Urdu: مسئلہ — “problem”) is a time-boxed, single-browser civic complaint intake and routing demo for Pakistan. A resident describes a civic problem — pothole, garbage pile, blocked drain, water outage, broken streetlight — in English, Urdu, or Roman Urdu, and the app maps the free text to a canonical issue and city, then deterministically routes (city, issue) → department over a static knowledge base, showing a verification badge and a plain-language reason. It drafts a formal complaint (AI-assisted, with a deterministic template path) and saves the report locally. A second local role represents the receiving authority: it sees incoming reports for its authority, moves them Received → In Progress → Marked Fixed (forward only, note required to mark fixed) and leaves a resolution note the citizen can read back. Coverage: 15 cities, 42 issue types, 46 departments, 87 verified routes; KB contacts are sourced and dated, never invented. Scope is explicit: no backend, no database, no real auth, no real submission to any department, and “Marked Fixed” is the receiver’s claim — Masla does not verify repairs. MIT licensed. Next.js 14 App Router + TypeScript, Zod contracts, Vitest + Playwright.
