BLACKOUT
BLACKOUT is an offline-first emergency response PWA designed to function when internet, cellular networks, and cloud services fail during disasters such as cyclones, floods, and power outages.
Unlike traditional cloud-dependent emergency apps, BLACKOUT follows a Zero-Cloud Trust architecture, storing critical information directly on the device using IndexedDB and Service Workers.
Key features include Tactical Emergency Mode, a 100-point Readiness Score, Local Medical Vault, Offline SOS Staging, and Cached Offline Maps showing essential locations such as hospitals and police stations.
Built with React, TypeScript, Vite, Zustand, Dexie.js, Leaflet, and Tailwind CSS, BLACKOUT demonstrates that emergency software can remain functional even when the network goes completely dark.
BLACKOUT: When the network fails, survival data stays available.
