IssueLift
IssueLift — Evidence-Backed Open-Source Contribution Assistant
IssueLift is an AI-powered open-source contribution assistant built using Google Gemma 4.
It helps developers understand GitHub issues before starting implementation by converting them into structured Contribution Contracts with acceptance criteria, candidate implementation files, test evidence, and setup instructions.
Core Features
- Contribution Contract Compiler: Extracts explicit requirements and separates AI-proposed criteria from confirmed requirements.
- Acceptance-to-Test TraceMap: Connects requirements with candidate source files and test evidence.
- Deterministic Claim Gate: Validates repository paths and prevents unsupported evidence from being presented as verified.
- Setup Truth Ledger: Extracts documented installation and test commands from repository documentation and manifests.
- Proof Bundle: Exports analysis into Markdown and JSON.
- Open ProofBench: Includes 7 offline deterministic fixtures for evaluating reliability guardrails.
AI Integration
Google Gemma 4 (gemma-4-26b-a4b-it) powers issue analysis and Contribution Contract generation through the Google GenAI SDK. A deterministic baseline compiler provides fallback functionality when Gemma is unavailable.
Open Source
IssueLift is available under the MIT License and includes public source code, regression tests, and reproducible evaluation fixtures.
Gemma proposes. The deterministic Claim Gate verifies. The contributor decides.
AI Development Tools Disclosure
Antigravity was used as an AI coding agent. ChatGPT assisted with project planning, prompts, debugging guidance, and review. Google Gemma 4 powers the application’s AI analysis.
