Buy Together is an AI-powered community group-ordering platform that helps users combine small individual purchase requests into one organized group order.

Users can simply describe what they need in natural language, such as “I need 2 ruled notebooks and 3 blue pens.” Using Gemma AI, the system understands the request and converts it into structured information such as product name, quantity, and specifications.

The backend, built with Python and FastAPI, processes these requests, identifies matching or similar items, combines quantities, and manages the overall order. The system uses MySQL to store users, requests, products, and order information.

Buy Together provides a shared order interface where users can view combined quantities, prices, totals, and individual contributions. It can also support smart item matching, bulk-purchase opportunities, automatic cost calculation, and clarification of ambiguous requests.
