🚀 Indore Pothole Tracker: Context-Aware Civic Reporting Engine

The Pitch Indore Pothole Tracker is an AI-powered, real-time civic issue management system that revolutionizes how municipal corporations handle infrastructure decay. Instead of relying on manual ticket triage, it uses geospatial clustering and a proprietary context-aware algorithm to intelligently prioritize repairs based on real-world risk.

Core Architecture

Frontend: A lightning-fast, mobile-first Vanilla HTML/JS interface styled with TailwindCSS and Leaflet.js maps, requiring zero build steps or heavy React payloads.
Backend: A high-performance Python FastAPI server powered by SQLite, WebSockets, and advanced geospatial math (Haversine formula).

Key Differentiators & Features:

Intelligent Prioritization Algorithm: We don’t just sort by “visual damage”. Our backend dynamically calculates priority using the formula: (Visual Severity 1-10) × (Duplicate Weight) × (Location Context). An issue near a school or busy main road automatically receives a 2.5x priority multiplier.
Geospatial Duplicate Clustering: If 5 citizens report the same pothole, the system uses GPS coordinates to detect reports within a 100-meter radius. It intelligently clusters them into a single administrative ticket while boosting the issue’s priority weight, preventing municipal overload.
Real-Time Live Map: A public-facing Leaflet map utilizing Carto Voyager tiles and MarkerCluster groups. Pins are color-coded by AI-calculated priority scores (Red/Amber/Green) and update synchronously.
Instant Feedback Loop (WebSockets): When an Admin marks an issue as “Resolved” (and submits an ‘After’ proof photo), a live WebSocket connection pushes an instant animated Toast Notification to the citizens, fully closing the transparency loop.
