RAKSHA – AI Disaster Intelligence & Response Platform

RAKSHA is an intelligent disaster-management platform designed to help citizens and emergency response teams monitor hazards, assess real-time risk, and make safer decisions during disasters. The system combines live weather and earthquake data, geospatial mapping, risk assessment, emergency shelters, evacuation routing, and citizen incident reports into a single unified platform.

RAKSHA analyzes available hazard information to generate a dynamic risk score for a selected location and identifies affected, high-risk, and watch zones on an interactive map. Users can search for any location, view nearby shelters and emergency services, calculate evacuation routes, and submit incident reports. An integrated AI assistant provides situation-aware guidance based on the current risk and available emergency resources.

The platform is built as a web-based system using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, Express.js, Leaflet.js, OpenStreetMap, REST APIs, Open-Meteo, NCS earthquake data, Nominatim, and OSRM. RAKSHA is designed to provide a centralized, accessible, and scalable decision-support system for disaster preparedness, response, and evacuation.
