CivicSentinel — Project Description

CivicSentinel is an AI-powered civic issue reporting and monitoring platform that makes it easy for citizens to report problems such as potholes, damaged roads, broken streetlights, overflowing garbage, and other public infrastructure issues.

Citizens simply take a photo, confirm their location, and submit the report. The AI analyzes the image to identify the issue, estimate its severity and confidence, and generate useful evidence for authorities.

On the other side, an admin dashboard provides authorities with a real-time view of reported incidents on an interactive map. Reports can be prioritized based on severity and confidence, grouped when multiple reports appear to describe the same issue, and tracked through statuses such as Submitted → Under Review → In Progress → Resolved.

The platform uses AI, geolocation, interactive mapping, role-based authentication, secure cloud storage, and database-backed incident management to create a simple bridge between citizens and civic authorities.
