Lecturelens
Lecturelens: Turn lectures into searchable, explainable study material in your own language
Lecturelens is a study tool that turns university lecture recordings into material students can search, revise, and question. Upload a recording, choose its language, and get a timestamped transcript, a summary, key terms, and a quiz. Then ask questions in your own language: answers come only from what the lecture covered, with mm:ss citations pointing to the exact moment, and if the lecture didn’t address a question, Lecturelens says so.
It’s built for students who revise from recorded lectures, especially when classes mix English with a regional language. The stack is entirely open source (faster-whisper, Gemma via Ollama, multilingual embeddings in ChromaDB, and Gradio), and everything runs locally, so recordings never leave the student’s machine.
