Introducing AI Scam Shield 🛡️ — an open-source AI-powered scam detection and awareness system designed to help users identify digital threats before they become victims.

Scammers are constantly evolving their tactics, using urgency, fear, fake rewards, impersonation, malicious links, and convincing messages to trick people. Traditional spam filters and simple rule-based systems may not always understand the context behind these attacks.

AI Scam Shield takes a different approach.

Users can submit SMS messages, WhatsApp conversations, emails, screenshots, or suspicious URLs, and the system analyzes them for potential scam indicators.

It provides:
Scam Detection — Determines whether the content appears genuine, suspicious, or potentially fraudulent.

Risk Assessment — Generates a risk score to show the severity of the threat.

Scam Classification — Identifies categories such as phishing, financial scams, job scams, delivery scams, investment scams, and OTP-related fraud.

Explainable AI — Clearly explains the specific warning signs detected instead of giving only a simple prediction.

Safety Recommendations — Guides users on what to do next, such as avoiding links, not sharing OTPs, not making payments, and verifying the sender through official channels.
