Campus Lost & Found
About the project
Campus Lost & Found
Campus Lost & Found is a centralized platform designed to make it easier for students to report, search for, and recover lost belongings on campus.
Students can report lost or found items by providing details such as the item name, description, category, location, date, and image. Other students can then search and filter the available reports to find potential matches.
The project also explores AI-assisted image matching to help identify visually similar lost and found items. Instead of relying only on manual searching through WhatsApp groups or asking around campus, the system can suggest potential matches based on uploaded images.

Problem We Are Solving
Students often lose belongings such as ID cards, wallets, chargers, earbuds, calculators, notebooks, and other personal items on campus. Information about these items is usually scattered across WhatsApp groups, class groups, security offices, and other channels.
Campus Lost & Found brings this information into one platform and uses image similarity to make finding potential matches easier.
