CampusLens AI is a multimodal AI assistant that helps college students understand notices, posters, and other visual documents. Students can upload a document image, and Gemma 4 analyzes it to extract important information such as event details, dates, times, venues, deadlines, requirements, and summaries. Students can then ask questions about the uploaded document and receive answers based on its contents.

The core workflow is:

We built CampusLens AI using Python, the Google GenAI SDK, Gemma 4, and Streamlit. We focused on creating a practical, working MVP that demonstrates multimodal document understanding and question answering.
