Experiential learning is known as “action learning” or “hands-on learning”. Converting that to a virtual platform has been an obstacle for many. Remote patient interaction has become a necessity as well as a convenience to many. It provides a safe and flexible option to many patients. The past year has increased caution in many patients; whether it be for their own health or for the health of those around them. With the increasing improvements in virtual patient interaction platforms, it has provided flexibility and convenience to those who may be too busy to physically see a doctor. Or to those who are unsure if their illness requires in person medical attention and expenses. While there have been great strides in remote patient interaction, there are still many challenges healthcare providers and patients face. What robust solutions can we create to help improve health literacy for COVID and beyond?

Point of care testing has been at the forefront of healthcare in the community setting in the past year with COVID’s emergence. COVID tests have become incredibly important in reducing the spread of disease and helping people get early treatment. However, point of care testing has existed as things like testing for diabetes with A1C, strep throat with the rapid strep test, and many others. How can we improve the workflow of these tests and translate them into getting people the care they need?
