# HackVerse: Into the Web ## A Story-Driven Hackathon **HackVerse: Into the Web** is a Spider-Man-themed, story-driven national hackathon organized by the **IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (IEEE RAS), VIT Chennai Student Chapter**, as part of **TechnoVIT 2026**. Rather than following a conventional hackathon format, HackVerse takes participants through a series of progressively challenging **sprints**, combining rapid prototyping, competitive problem-solving, AI-assisted development, and real-world product engineering. The central idea is simple: > **Enter the Web. Build your solution. Face the challenge. Become the hero.** ## The HackVerse Experience ### 1. Web-Slinger Sprint — Rapid Vibe Coding The hackathon begins with a high-energy **rapid vibe-coding phase**. Teams receive a limited amount of time to transform an idea into a functional prototype using modern development tools, AI coding assistants, APIs, and frameworks of their choice. The objective is speed, creativity, and the ability to turn an idea into something tangible. **Focus:** Ideation • Rapid Prototyping • AI-Assisted Development • Creativity --- ### 2. Spider-Sense Sprint — Competitive Coding Teams then enter a short **mini competitive-coding challenge** designed to test their problem-solving abilities. Participants face algorithmic and logical challenges where speed, accuracy, and technical thinking matter. This introduces a completely different dimension to the hackathon and ensures that participants are challenged beyond conventional product development. **Focus:** DSA • Algorithms • Logical Thinking • Speed • Problem Solving --- ### 3. Multiverse Sprint — Real-World Product Building The final and most important phase is where teams take their concepts beyond prototypes. Participants are expected to develop a **real-world, deploy-ready product** with a functional user experience, meaningful technical implementation, and a clear problem-solution fit. Teams can build in **any domain they choose**—AI, robotics, fintech, healthcare, education, cybersecurity, sustainability, IoT, automation, Web3, developer tools, or any other technology-driven field. Industry partners may also provide **real-world problem statements**, allowing teams to compete in dedicated sponsor-backed challenge tracks. **Focus:** Product Engineering • Deployment • Scalability • Real-World Impact ## Open Innovation — Build What You Believe In HackVerse does not restrict participants to a single technical domain. Teams are free to identify a problem they care about and build a solution around it. Whether it is an AI agent, a robotics system, a fintech platform, a healthcare solution, an automation tool, or something completely unconventional—the only requirement is to **build something meaningful and technically impressive**. ## Team Structure Each team consists of **4–5 members**, encouraging participants to collaborate across different skill sets. Teams are encouraged to combine: - Developers - AI/ML enthusiasts - Hardware & robotics builders - UI/UX designers - Product thinkers - Entrepreneurs and problem-solvers The goal is to replicate a real product-building environment where different skills come together to create something greater than what one person could build alone. ## Judging & Final Outcome Teams will be evaluated on factors such as: - Innovation and originality - Technical implementation - Problem relevance - Product usability and UX - Scalability - Real-world feasibility - Quality of the final deployment - Presentation and storytelling The final objective is not simply to produce a working demo. It is to transform an idea into a **credible, deploy-ready product** that could potentially continue beyond the hackathon.
