Join us @ Open Stage in the DIFC Innovation Hub for an afternoon of building, learning and meeting other developers, as part of Hacktoberfest 2026.
Come with an idea, a team, or neither (technical experience not required).
We’ll form teams at kickoff, and you’ll have four hours to build and ship something real 🛸

- Where: Open Stage, DIFC Innovation Hub, Gate Avenue (between Zone 3 and Zone 4)
- Who: Developers, students and curious beginners. Any language, any skill level.

Most of the world learns, works + creates in languages other than English. This challenge is for projects that start from the language you know best and build something new for the people who speak it.
Language Communities: Build a tool that serves speakers of a specific language, from widely spoken to under-resourced ones.
Bridging Languages: Help people move between languages, whether that’s translating, summarizing, or working across mixed-language content.
Code in Your Language: Help people learn, read, or write code in their own language, a strongly encouraged focus for this challenge.
You’re welcome to build with Legesher’s open-source tools, though it isn’t required.
The project must work meaningfully in at least one language other than English and show it in the demo.
